Homecoming night brought the Bison football team onto the field on October 15, with students and supporters filling the stands to back the team. Although the Bison started the game down 14–0, they continued competing and managed to put a touchdown on the scoreboard. The team ultimately came up short, but the student section helped keep the atmosphere going throughout the game. Homecoming football is not just about what happens on the field. The crowd also plays a role in making the night feel like a school-wide event.

Student section leader Lewis Biesecker helped lead the crowd, while student Ervin Retana Perez also helped keep the energy up. Their involvement added to the atmosphere as students cheered on the Bison. The Homecoming game followed another close matchup against Eastern Guilford on October 8. In that game, HPC lost 28–22, a result that showed how competitive the matchup had been. Even with the results not going the Bison's way, the team continued to compete in front of its school community. The support from the stands remained an important part of the night, giving students a chance to represent HPC and show up for their team.
